This 3 rounder served as a testament for Naoya Inoue’s technical acumen in the ring and Daigo Higa’s potential to follow suit in his bid to capture another world title — after regaining his JBC boxing license. Higa once contemplated to walk out of the sport of boxing ; Glad he was fickle on that thought.

Opening seconds of round 3 — Without headgear.

For the first 3 rounds, Both went head on against one another-ala “Mano A Mano” , showing off textbook footwork and strategic inside fighting, Then concluded the final round of this exhibition without any head gear ; Fans were awed in amusement to see that. If I had to use a metaphor to personify this fight — It was like watching 2 technicians harness their craft in a science lab, Hence why boxing is called the “sweet science”. It was entertaining sparring session to say the least.

With this event, Japans P4P king Naoya “Monster” Inoue is set for his clash against IBF mandatory, Filipino-Michael “Hot & Spicy” Dasmarinas.
